Wanted: 1970 Console harness
Wanted: 1970 Console harness
I know I have this console harness for my 70 442 in my house/garage somewhere but I just can't find it. I've looked everywhere I can think of but no luck - of course I'll come across it when I go to purchase another one.
I'm looking to see if anyone has a used harness that runs inside the console to light the shifter and the glove box when the lid is opened. I am not sure if the 71-72 are the same or if there is a difference. If it matters I have a dual gate shifter. Thanks!

Thanks, I knew that harness was a one year only but I was trying to reference the harness that provides the light sockets for the console box and the shift lens - I think 70-72 were the same but I was not 100% sure.
I have a used oem one

The word "never" is a pretty strong word to use here. I would have to disagree with your statement, especially when it comes to a console wiring harness. A nice condition original OEM harness would be quite sufficient and probably fit and function better than any repop, just my 30 years experience and opinion in the matter. And I bet if Tom was able to locate his original one, he would not hesitate to install it in his car.

Thanks for the heads up on a place to purchase a new harness and I would have gone that way if my harnesses was not good but I checked it out and it has held up well over the years.
I know I'll stumble across my harness after buying another one and I'm not too keen on spending approximately $60 either. I'm hoping to find a nice used one for no more than $40 if possible.
