Top control switch, sun visor...

Anybody know where I could track down a top switch for my '70 delta 88? Is it a generic GM switch, and if so, which cars and which years had them? Also, a dark green, passenger side sun visor would be great too. Thanks!

I don't know what that switch interchanges with (station wagon rear window switches are often the same, though), but you may be able to disassemble it and clean it up.

Rob71 has a thread on this somewhere.

Thanks. I don't have the original switch, the last owner took it out and replaced it with a generic toggle switch, which is just hanging by the wires out of the hole, occasionally sparking when it hits the old volume ****. I'm not even sure what the original looked like. I'll look into the rear window switches though, thanks a ton.

I think Rob's thread was on the cruise control switch when he added cruise to his Cutlass. It may be the same switch.

I think Rob took apart his top switch, too.

I took apart mine, but it's different, so it won't help him any.

If someone has a picture of the correct switch,I might have it. There is one in my parts that is not for a Cutlass,so maybe it is for the Deltas.

I have rebuilt top switches, window switches, cruise switches, seat switches, lock switches - it goes on and on...
If you find an original switch and it is flaky, you can rebuild it yourself, or you can send it to me and I can do it.
