I'm in need of an NOS or great condition Detent/Kick down cable assembly for my 1972 Cutlass Surpreme convertible. 72 has the cable from the trans to the Gas peddle. not the cable that goes from the trans to the carburetor. If I'm correct I believe the detent/Kickdown cable is the lower one. Viewing the cable location from the engine bay side of the fire wall my accelerator cable is above running to my Rochester carb.

I'm tired of this repro crap ! Mine is starting to corrode and the cable has started cutting into the firewall grommet. I thought it was the accelerator linkage locking up but found that was free from the carb to the the gas peddle. The noticed the kickdown cable was corroded at the firewall and it has started to saw a grove in plastic grommet.

Well I checked my stuff and I have a shifter cable and a speedo cable but sadly no detent cable
