Dose anyone know if running a eddie carb wil require a longer throttle cable then stock length?

I am pretty sure you will be fine but pilot will confirm, on a 66 we use a throttle rod and it works just fine with the aftermarket carbs.

No, you don't need to change the throttle cable...but you will need to modify the throttle bracket to clear the back of the carb. There are some little braces or something on the back of them that hit the bracket. You can either clearance the bracket or clearance the carb...I prefer the bracket over a newly purchased carb.

I have used 1" steel plate to make an adapter bracket that clears the carb and bolts in the factory location...then drill holes for the factory bracket in the adapter plate and bolt them together. Just an idea that has worked for me.

Should be okay, the carb was already on the car, both the cables got messed up while pulling the motor out (cause im a genius) as far as i know they appeared original to the car but i wasent sure so i was skeptical on just geting stock length after markets

Like i said, just trying to take care of all this little stuff before the shop takes over and charges me for it

Thank you!

I bought mine off a friend some months back, its a '70 ended up with a spun rod bearing tho so shes been sitting for a few months now finaly getting that electrical in and the motors about to be sent out and rebuilt! I cant wait!

The cars running right now, everythings pretty much stock besides the 4bbl carb, I'm lookin to take it one step at a time...starting from the rear end switching gears up to posi 3.42 adding dual exhaust and headers then work my way towards the engine/tranny hopefully be able to lay some rubber down soon. It also needs body work. Are you lookin to do a stock rebuild or wake up the good ol 350?!

At first i wanted to do more then just wake it up, but after i thought about it (and saw prices lol) i figurednstock rebuilds the best way to go as this will be a driver. So far ive replaced all the bushings up front and ball joints, got a disc brake kit in the mail new suspension. The motor, new electrical harness (if i dnt commit suicide trying to put it in) rebuilt tranny nice big radiator. just going for super solid. I got lucky cuase the bodys clean as is the inside. Id like to do posi but on a stock build its whatever to me, but this oeg leg **** is killing me lol

Hopefully i can get this b!tch running, we could meet up. You ever go to the camarillo car shows? Not sure if there still going but i want to start entering the car when its done.
