Power Piston assembly

Does anyone have an extra power pin assembly out of a Rochester carb? My carb is 7029250 but any Rochester should have the same power pin assembly.

Thanks
Mike

$15 and I can get it in the mail today. Sounds like you're in trouble!

Any carb prior to the "170..." application numbers at least.
Best to look for 1968 & up probably.

so... what happened to the old one?
Disaster or misplaced?

The one I have has been altered. Someone cut the spring and shortened the piston

FWIW, that pin looks factory to me, almost looks like a short nail..and the spring is not a huge deal if it isn't useable..

The pin in that pic is fine. Some rebuilders cut them right close to the bottom of the piston as a "bandaid" to prevent over-rich idle. It's a bad idea.
Cut spring may or may not be a problem, depends on how it acts now and how much vacuum the engine pulls. That's a trick to get into the power enrichment quicker.
