Hi, I'm looking for a set of the block letters ["OLDSMOBILE"] that go across the leading edge of my hood on my 64 F85. I've seen other Olds cars with the same letters across the trunklid edge. I reckon these letters are the same front and rear? Anyway, I'm looking for a good set... not all pitted, but they don't need to be showroom either. This is for my daily driver. I'd rather have the letters than fill all the tiny holes they leave behind when missing. It would be the finishing touch for my hood. Hit me up! Cheers, Mike

 

Many models used the letters however each year and model used slightly different letters in size and form. I am pretty sure you need 64 letters to be correct and do not know if there is an interchange.

Update... still need the hood letters. Kurt had a set of 65 trunk letters and they are indeed different. Thanks Kurt, for trying to help me, I do appreciate it! I'm still looking for a set of 64 hood letters, in case anyone happens upon a set in reasonable shape. Oldsmaniac is correct... apparently there is a difference between all the years. I'd rather get a set than fill 20+ holes... Cheers! Mike

PS... I added a picture of the front edge of my hood. Perhaps this will help determine if any other letters will fit with the stud/locating pin locations.
