I'm needing the spacing for the oldsmobile letter to drill holes. I don't have my old trunk lid anymore and would really like to have these on the trunk.

If no one gets to this earlier, I will take some measurements tonight but it will be later.

One other thought if you shoot me a pm with your address I will make a template with measurements and mail it to you. It would be this weekend before I could do that though.

Ok here is what I measured first measurement is from the side at the corner of the trunk lid then from the bottom straight up.
O First hole side 12 inches 2 1/8 bottom
second Hole 12 3/4 side 1 7/8 bottom
L 16inches x 2 1/8
16 1/2 x 1 7/8
D 19 1/2 x1 15/16
20 1/4 x 2 1/16
S 22 15/16 x 2
23 7/8 x 1 13/16
M 26 5/8 x 1 15/16
27 1/2 x 1 3/4
Switch sides for side measurements
O 27 1/4 x 1 3/4
26 3/8 x 2
B 23 3/4 x 2
23 x 1 7/8
I 20 1/4 x 2 13/16
20 1/4 x 1 13/16
L 17 x 2 1/8
16 1/2 x 1 13/16
E 13 3/8 x 1 7/8
13 x 2 3/16

Hope this helps any other questions ask

Another thing you might consider, is no drilling at all, as most cars from the late 70's on, have been doing this with double faced tape. Many just whack off the original emblem pins with a Dremel cut off wheel, and use 3M emblem tape. If you currently have no holes drilled, what I'd do, as can always move them around later.
