Hey folks, I'm looking for a tach from a 67-68 88 as shown here. This one is similar to a 68-69 Tic-Toc tach, but without the clock. Not to be unpleasant, but I don't want to put a tic-tok gauge in it, I don't want to stick a Sun tach or something similar in the bezel. I want one of the old tachometers as shown. Somebody's gotta have one they aren;t using. And I've called GM Sport; they're permanently out. I posted a similar add here in June. Since then I've on eBay with no success. Think it;s time to try here again.

 

I think we've had this conversation before, but the factory Y79 Tach/Clock was the same Tic-Toc-Tach as used in the 1968 A-body cars, except for the mounting studs on the back of the housing. It was only offered in the B-body cars in the 1967 model year. The version without the clock is not factory, it's aftermarket.

 

OK Joe, I stand corrected. Now I'm looking for an aftermarket tach like the one shown in the photo. If anyone just has a face like the one shown, I'd be interested as well.
