Olds Rally Wheels, 5x5 pattern?

I was told that Olds made a Rally with a 5x5 pattern for their full size models. Is that true? Anyone have a set? Also I was told they had a different center cap(bigger), would the smaller center caps fit too?

Thanks!

The SS IVs were in a 5x5 bolt pattern. They weren't very similar to the other SS wheels though. The SS IVs were a steel wheel with a plastic material molded onto them. They are difficult to find.

No, those are the SS wheels available on the late 70s B bodies. I'm not sure what number or code they were. I don't believe those are 5x5 bolt pattern, in fact, I'm almost sure of it.

My dad (Oldsguy) and I salvaged about 8 of those wheels out of a bone yard years ago when I was in college. They didn't fit onto his 69 Delta 88 (which had 5x5 bolt pattern). So my dad bought a set of wheel adapters to put them on. BAD IDEA. They came loose one time when he was driving, luckily he was only going about 30 mph. The rear fender was a little bashed up but he took those wheel adapters off that evening.

Those wheels pictured are nearly identical to the SS wheels on the Cutlass, they just have a different center cap that "snaps" on.

They were made, but not common. The only set I've ever seen was at the Olds Centennial Celebration swap meet in Lansing 1997. I questioned my friend walking around with me- who was a retired Olds Zone Service Manager. He said they were made early in the 1977 year for 403 equipped 88s but option was then dropped in favor of the N82 Custom Chrome Wheel the Ninety Eight used. I would guess because of low sales and they figured no point in having two chrome wheel options for full size car.

They were all chrome instead of painted with bright accents and a trim ring as SSII/III. 1977 CSM has picture of the N83 Custom Sport Chrome Wheel for 88 that shows the difference in the outer rim compared to the SSII/III for Cutlass/Omega.
