The one thing I would say (as I mentioned in my long list of instructions) is that you may be able to get away with just having the rotors and drums turned, and not have to replace them, which will save you money.

As for interchangeability, I know NOTHING about those later X-bodies.

I'd suggest checking RockAuto or NAPA - each one has a button you can press once you've found the part you need, which will tell you all of the different cars it fits.

IMHO, I'd do what Eric says and haul all of them to an auto parts store and just get them cut. Tell them to take as little metal off as possible. There is a 99% chance that they are usable. This would be the least expensive option for you.

The last time I got it done it was around $10 per. You need to clean them up.

But, really, what's to clean? The outer edge can be chipped off with an old screwdriver, int inner part where the bearings are will be clean, and the friction surfaces will be cleaned up by the lathe.

The outsides of the drums will be rusty, but the outsides of drums are always rusty.
I'd say wire brush and paint them when you paint the rest of the car, and then only if you are using wheels that let you see them.

Like Eric said, a wire brush and some hi temp black engine paint will make them look pretty again. Remember your on a budget.

And also remember, you can't see them through those wheels you've got.

If you do a whole lot of work on them, you'll be disappointed because you won't see it when you put the car together.

I'm thinking most of your parts on this car are interchangeable with the Nova. Some of the other Eric's would probably know this ? So, searching "Chevy Nova" may be another option, especially in junk yards etc...

I would think the brake parts are all strictly GM, not strictly Oldsmobile.

Don't get hung up where your parts come from, once you put a Nova brake part on your car it becomes an Omega brake part. Its a wonderful world of interchange!

Might have GM cast on the part but never a division brand name!
