I have 68 olds 400 bored .040 over can't locate pistons under a grand except for cast replacement style. Any help appreciated

 

Try EGGE , they have forged pistons for 400 olds

 

maybe check to see if your block can safely be bored-out to a 455's bore...

Not sure what the issue is as I have a set of these pistons (almost new forged Sealed Power) for sale here on CO for $250 which you emailed me about. As of last night you said you didn't have any money. What am I missing?

250.00 for that set of pistons makes me wish I had a 400 sitting around waiting to be machined. I cross referenced your thread link and it's got me wondering too about that comment about the 1000.00.

Your price and shipping is even cheaper than ordering from Summit or Egge's

 

Just checking options while working on funds still interested in yours but at same time checking on what ring pack will cost for them also

 

Also waiting on machine shop report it is bored .040 but been in dads shed for 10 years not sure if will clean up without going .060 waiting on that call money tied up with them right now
