looking for a canceling cam

i took my steering wheel off to tighten my turn signal lever. In the process i broke a plastic piece. The tube part of it broke off that holds a small spring. My car is a 69 cutlass convertible. The manual shows the part on page 9A-27 and listed it as a canceling cam. I'm not sure why since my turn signals cancel just fine with the broken part installed but the horn don't work no more. it won't glue back together so i need one if anyone can tell me where i can find one id appreciate it.

Cancel cam

These parts can be found at the usual Olds vendors and probably at your local auto parts stores.

For example, The cancel cam (EL2266T w/O tilt and EL2267T w/ tilt) and Horn contact assembly (ST3734Z) is available from thepartsplaceinc.com

I assume the parts are identical for sport wheels and other types, but do your own due diligence

match color and/or teeeensy part number if buying another used part.

Match size and shape if buying new.

I have seen these at places like AutoZone or PepBoys in the Help section of parts....They are fairly easy to replace...good luck...

Does the steering wheel type matter? $15 sounds ok if it will fit.

No, but the contact that goes into the post on the cancel cam does depend on the wheel. Dorman sells both the cancel cams and the contacts.
