Intake manifold hose barb
Intake manifold hose barb
I need several non air factory hose barbs for 350-455 engines. If the car had air, it would use a 155104 heater control valve. Does anyone one have good used, or at least a part number for the non air barb, either GM or aftermarket? I want to clean up my engine compartments.
If I get desperate, I suppose I could thread a new barb onto the 155104 I broke the top off. Has anyone done this with success?
Thanks!

Try this thread, Joe Pad had a good idea where to look:

Well, Joe has the answer as usual!
Not positive the threads are 100% correct as these are listed as Buick 3.8.

The big "CHINA" on them is not too exciting either...
$10 for a box of 3 at O'Reilly's if they actually stock them.
I would still prefer the Olds OEM new or used, and yes I will pay more than $3.50 each for decent ones.

Be aware that the original nipple had a restriction in it to limit the pressure seen by the heater core. If you don't have the restriction, you can expect to blow your heater core sooner or later.
Just for some field data, I put a regular old barb without any restriction in my motor about 4 years ago, and so far so good. Heater core is still the original from 85'. The regular ol' barbs in the help section that I've seen, didn't have the restriction.
