FYI inline tube and im sure others sell a block off for the crossover pipe, the only 350 manifold w out the cross over pipe is an aftermarket one.

All Oldsmobile exhaust manifolds have the crossover. If it had dual exhaust the crossover is blocked with a plate. You can fabricate your own or buy something like this.

To clarify slightly, all 1964-1990 RWD small block Olds manifolds have the second port for the crossover. Toro manifolds from the 403 cars do not, but the outlet isn't turned correctly for a RWD application. Of course, BBO manifolds are available for true dual exhaust applications, but they have clearance issues on the shorter deck SBO.

26.00 from Inline Tube Part number 11605
Heres a link to their online Olds catalogue. Page 62/63 http://online.flipbuilder.com/wmmk/nfjp/#p=64

Thornton does have a set of 350 exhaust manifolds that mimic the big block Olds but it's way more expensive than buying and installing a block off plate.

You can buy just the passenger side small block manifold with the single outlet....I almost bout one on eBay and stumbled onto a 455 and went that way..I did buy a set of thorn tons 455 manifolds...pretty nice..haven't used them yet but look very good

Since the block off plate is so cheap that is probably the way to go. However, you might also consider having a welding shop weld the cross-over closed. My dad; Oldsguy, and I had this done to manifolds for his 69 Delta 88 years ago and it worked great.

Hey Paul,

Do you know if the aftermarket door handles are the same for the 2door as your 4 door cutlass supreme?
This may help other members when looking to purchase those door handles
Thanks
Eric

I went with the Thornton's on my 77 for a couple reasons: 1- all the bolts sheared off when I was taking the exhaust apart (I could of drilled and tapped them out but didn't want to) and 2- I wanted both outlets to be the same size. That made connection to the down pipes a lot easier in the end.

I get that Thornton Jr's are 2 1/4" instead of OEM 2", but I'd like to know how you figure that the outlet on the OEM 350's are different sizes. They are the same. The connection to the downpipes should be constant so I again don't see how that's an issue either. Thornton manifold length is the same as OEM, only difference is the slightly better flow pattern inside. Of course working with new parts is always a bit easier.
