Experience shipping parts to Europe?

Hi Guys,

I own a '73 Omega Hatchback and planning to restore it. 'Cause I live in Europe it's very hard for me to find parts, especially Body Parts. On the internet I found enough company's in the US, but mostly they don't ship to Europe. My question is if anyone of you has experience with sending parts from the US to Europe, or if you guys have tips or companies which will make it easier for me to order parts in the US.

For example I need to replace both the quarterpanels, and thats not all it.

Thanks.

Marc.

Contact a freight forwarder in Holland. Your FF will contact its US office or agent. They will make arrangements to pick up from the address, fill out an AES for export and ship by vessel or airline. I'd shop around first, quotes can varry.

If parts are small (under 150 lbs) call Fed Ex, DHL, UPS or TNT. If heavier and larger pieces are involved, call a freight forwarder.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for the tip. I think thats the way for me to do it. Try to do it on my own would be a mission impossible.

And just to let you know from my experience with UPS, DHL and Fed Ex they dont like there packages more than 75 pounds otherwise they charge an oversize rate.
