I think Troy Thornton @ Thornton Reproductions made it without the crossover. NO factory manifold came without the crossover.

I have seen people cap off the crossover, or pinch a short piece of pipe and weld it shut. It may create a little turbulance that wouldn't be there with a true dual exhaust. But that or the reproduction one based on the big block dual exhaust are the only way you'll get manifolds without the crossover pipe. John

Instead of pinching off a pipe or capping it off just do some grinding on the flange and have it welded. That is what Oldsguy and I did on the passenger side manfiold on his 69 Delta 88. We had a shop weld up the crossover port after grinding off the flange. It worked great.

we may try that. The class we race in does not allow headers .

Thumbs up Exhaust cap

The correct cap for the manifold is PN 382636 '64 - '74...It is a 3/16" thick flat piece of stamped metal, shaped to fit the circle of the manifold and two ears for the bolt holes, so it is kinda oval shaped... ya ya ya pictures at eleven...
