Coolant overflow tank
Coolant overflow tank
Needed for an '81 Custom Cruiser. The previous owner had tried to repair a crack in it with common fibreglass. Needless to say, it didn't work. This I knew. What I didn't know is that there were 3 different, and significantly large cracks. Given that the proper epoxy repair kit covers about 2-3 inches and costs $17 ... I'm damned if I'm gonna pay the $60+ to patch it up.
Someone out there has to have one lying about spare.

The black snot in the third pic is the $17 repair kit. Only complaint about it is you mix the stuff in the pouch and then apply it. Well you'd better be good and ready, damn stuff set in about 30 seconds at the temp of molten lava. I got less than 50% of it out of the pack before it set solid. The toothpaste smears in the other pics are my attempts to plastic weld the rest of the cracks. It's holding water but I'm not wagering on it holding up well against the cold or the glycol.
