I am looking to purchase a new car cover, unfortunately my 71 Cutlass Supreme Convertible is in the yard all spring and summer, and I have had several covers that don't seem to last longer than a month or so. I don't really care about the price, just had her painted and need the UV protector and all weather type of cover that fits well and protects. If anyone out there can make a recommendation I would really appreciate it! Thanks

I would suggest investing money into a high quality car cover. Especially since you just had it painted. The cheapy Auto Zone covers are fine for keeping leaves and snow off of a car but your finish might be damaged by it. You should also be sure to tighten the cover completely with ropes as any loose ends wil vibrate in the wind and damage the finish if left for a long period of time.

 

You might even look into one of those aluminum car ports about $700 installed then hang tarps on the sides of it or fully enclose it.They are portable KINDA. so most city codes cant deny you having one.Get years of use out of it My friend has one & held 4" of ice with 12" of snow on top last year,so they are strong.
