Bumpers for a '72 98

Not sure if this is the proper location for this question, but, my deal ol' 1972 98 needs better bumpers, front and rear. Pretty sure 1971 parts fit too. Mine are borderline "okay" but rough for sure - chrome peeling off, rust spots, a little bent. I'd love a nicer set. If anyone has front, rear or both - please let me know. Hopefully near to Massachusetts but, whatever anyone has, I'll be thrilled to hear from you. Thank you.

Jay

Right you are Norm. I went ahead and moved the thread.

You might consider rechroming the bumpers. If the bumpers are solid with no rot you could also have the wrapped (either monochrome or chrome/stainless).

I've never re-chromed anything, but I would think these - especially the front - are too far gone, or would be crazy expensive to have rechromed. The first 2 pics are the rear and the last 2 are the front...

The first pic you uploaded seems like pretty bad rot. It would have to be patched before rechroming. Not impossible, but $$$!🤑

I mentioned wrapping. If you're you're not doing a concours restoration you could grind out & neutralize the rust. Then use filler to reform the bumper and cover it with a wrap.

Thank you for feedback!!!! I may, for a little while anyways, drive it as is - with "Petina" as they always say these days. Hopefully I can find some parts somewhere. If not, I'll try your suggestions.

Happy 4th all!!!

Also, does anyone have headlight bezels in good shape? Will bezels from a same year Delta 88 work??

Thanks all.

Bumpers

I suspect if you decide to go with replacement bumpers, you will have to source, and have a western set shipped. Never say never, perhaps someone will pop up with a "granny" car that they decide to part out perhaps. The number of old car speciality yards is dropping in number yearly, you might start with CTC auto ranch or LL Classics if you can't find a private party.
