Thanks for sharing that with me. I'm in need of ones that match the originals. I'll stop by the NAPA distribution center here and check out what their's looks like.

These are the 9 1/2 X 2" rear drums. They're called out for 64-72 Cutlass, and 67-9 Lemans and Firebird.

Are you looking for the Olds bell shaped multi-piece welded drums?

If so, I suspect they may be very hard to find in NOS condition. Used ones are fairly common still.
I have a pair off my '67 442.

Yes, I believe that is their construction. NOS condition would be ideal, I would like to locate an excellent pair. Do you have some available?

That is why I asked. The 71-72 did not come with that style of drum. Those had the fins. The 69 & 70 had the smooth bell or lampshade appearance for sure. These drums are steel, not cast. There is also a smooth,non-finned drum, that is cast, but I think those came on the Chevys.

Thanks for sharing the additional information. I have a couple of photos of the correct ones but I haven't had the opportunity to check out an actual drum. I was hoping to find a nice pair here. I believe the non-finned cast drums are found on Chevys through perhaps the mid sixties.

A somewhat related question, when did Cutlass change from the 2-piece to 1-piece front rotors? I know for Chevelle it was in April 1970, probably assembly plant dependent. I had one person suggest it was around November 1969 for Oldsmobile.

I have an October/69-built car that has the 2-piece.They have never been off.Everything that I have owned that was built in December/69 and later, had the 1-piece rotor.

Thanks, that very useful information on the rotors. My car is December 1969--I'll use the one-peice.
