71 Vista Cruiser d/s rear support

71 Vista Cruiser wagon, I am looking for this part. It's the glass support bar that goes horizontal from the c pillar to the d pillar (see pic). Seems like every time I find someone who is parting a Vista out they already crushed it. I found someone in Washington PA that is selling one but the lack of communication and short time on Facebook leaves me weary. I have been looking for this part for 5 years. The one I have is too far gone to be repaired. I brought it to 3 different fabricators and they said no.

My father; Oldsguy, owns a 72 Vista Cruiser and is also on the lookout for that part. In fact, he owns a 68 VC parts car, however I think that part is pretty rotten on that car too. I'd have to say that you're going to have to fabricate that parts yourself. If you find a VC with that part in decent repair then probably it'd be better to start with that car vs. the one that is rotten. Good luck! 👍

Yes, I do have a '68 parts car but to be honest your part doesn't look that bad to me. My '72 is in terrible shape and I am presently working on it, I think yours is in better shape. The '68 is probably in poor shape too although I haven't removed the glass yet to verify it. I did take a picture of it just now but it looks to have some rust and corrosion as well.
