71 455 flexplate

69 will not work,bolt holes don't line up.has to be 71 or later.

71 455 flexplate

All the same, small block & big block, '68 and up. Perhaps you have a 425 or early ('65-'67) 400. I have both. Thanks, Bob.

What Bob said. Do you possibly have a 1965-67 forged crank in your 455? If not, any 1968-1990 engine (except for FWD 307 applications) uses the same flexplate and all interchange.

Forgive me if you tried this, but they only bolt up in one place, rotate until bolt holes line up.

And, if you try to put a 68+ onto a pre-68 crank, two holes will not line up, unless you flip it over, then you can get 5 of the in..... an engine I bought once.

Make sure what crank you have then go shopping. Shape of the notch in the OD of the mtg flange? Pic?
