400 / 455 Flexplate same????

400 / 455 Flexplate same????

Does anyone know if the flexplate for a 400 motor and a 455 motor is the same? What size shgould it be...10.750in or 11.5in?

I know the 1965-67 400 and 425's used a different flexplate than the 455 but I understand the 1968-69 400 was the same as the 455. Someone else will need to chime in and confirm that. John

All 64-67 flexplates (except, of course, the 394) interchange. All 68-90 flexplates interchange. You just cannot change early with late, since the crank flange bolt pattern is different.
