If you can't find one here, take a look through ebay they always seem to have them. It doesn't matter what color it is because you can re-dye or paint with SEM and the results are stunning.

If you're changing from column to floor, to do it right you need the console and shifter, all the console mounts and linkages, floor shift column, floor shift speedo gauge, remove bench seat tracks and install new bucket tracks (they are not interchangeable) buy bucket seats. This is not a small ticket item or project

Thanks Allen I figured it might be between 1 to 2 grand to finish properly. I have some stuff already but will need more items for some fun in the fall. I was also wondering if olds had any high back buckets as options? Cheers Orrick

Good seats will run around 400+ and need refinishing - another 250.00 + weld in new seat tracks - 80.00. Decent Console, mounts and wiring another 3-400. Column and speedo - another 350+. So your numbers are close. BTW I'm not including shipping. I know how much this stuff costs to get to us up here. No stranger to high shipping...

As far as 'high back' buckets? Nope. The buckets for these are the A51 stratos with a headrest. If you don't want to keep it stock, you can always install the high bucket seats from a G body Olds.

What stuff do you have already? If you're going with a bucket seat conversion you might as well go all out and get the Parts Place OAI hood conversion too.

I have a blue 4-spd console that I am using to get a correct match for the 70 blue dye. There are a few others waiting for this dye,but once I get it nailed-down,I'll have the mix code.I have to play with different tints & gloss levels, but I will get it.I nailed the 71 Sienna color, which is not easy either. The 70 colors also have metallics in them.I'll get it.The rattle cans that the vendors are selling is not close enough to my liking, and I would not bother with it.
As far as seats & everything else,I do have a set of 70 blue buckets, but not sure what I am doing with those yet.The bottom plastics are real nice, but the upper back panels are not.Are you trying to make all of this correct for 70,or are you just wanting to convert to buckets & console?

Hey Brian, I'm just basically looking for comfortable buckets and a console, for shows I would put the bench back in. Cheers Orrick

OK. Just to make note, that if you go with the factory bucket seats, with the correct brackets welded to the floor, you will not be able to reinstall the factory bench seat, unless you get a little creative. If you are looking down at your floor, there are the forward outer holes for the bench seat tracks. Those holes get covered by a small perch that is welded to the floor, and the stud in the perch is not in the exact same location for a bench seat to line up with.I did do a conversion about 10yrs ago on a 70 Cutlass Supreme, where the owner wanted the same option of putting the bench seat back in.I took a 3/8" thick piece of aluminum, and drilled one hole to bolt the piece to the floor, using the bench seat hole, and another hole in the aluminum,to line up with the bucket seat.It gave me the correct offset, and the correct rise or space,to let the bucket seat sit correctly in the car,and it was all removable to put the bench back in.

Hi, I have a formerly white console my brother painted blue to match a '63 Nova (long story). The paint looks great but might be a bit too light. I can try to e-mail pics this weekend if you're interested. I don't think it has any cracks but the lid and compartment need some work. I have a shifter too minus the ball.

Hi Orrick,

Sorry for taking so long to get these. I can't find the shifter but know it's somewhere at my brother's house. The armrest is bent a bit and one of the mounting holes is broken. There's a hole in the bottom of the compartment my brother made to run wires through. Harness and shifter surround are there but no woodgrain. I hadn't looked at it in a while; the paint is not as nice as I remembered, sorry. I don't think it's the right shade anyway. Not perfect but let me know if you're interested and I'll get a box for it and the shifter. Thanks!
