67 gold dash pad
67 gold dash pad
Any gold dash pads available from someone? As close to NOS as possible, must be perfect, no flaws. Also F85 steering wheel, same condition, same color. Trim code is 914, Champaigne, on the cowl tag.
Has anyone ever coated a black dash pad with lighter color? I have a perfect black one that I can dye but would rather have one of the right color. Trade maybe? PM me.

Go to a good Qulaity Paint Shop and Have them mix up some SEM Interior Paint.Chances are they have the paint code but they will ask you to do a test sample.
Wash it down with Denatured Alchohol few times have a few sips .and shoot it and the glove box door.
I use an Air Brush from Hrbor Freight

You painted the dash pad with lacquer? Didn't it chip? Your interior color is the exact same as my son's car, same steering wheel and all. Looks great. Do you remember the paint mix code? Do you have another radio delete plate?

I went to the place that will sell you color mixed paint in spray cans. I told them paint code and sent a strip of original gold vinyl and told them I wanted paint for the dash pad. The can that came was labeled lacquer.... so far so good with it. I got it from Tower paint. Dont remeber the code.

Yep it is a 442 and I have a build thread in Major builds titled 67 Trac Pac, thanks, I think it came out good for someone who did not know what they were doing! That F85 with the 425 and Muncie will be nice, If not already done you may want to upgrade the fuel line to 3/8. We did a BB swap in a 64 that was a 6 cyl and it would starve for fuel at full throttle at about 50 MPH.
