67 Bumper Jack Wanted
Found!!! Nothing to see here.
Thanks,
Jaybird
I'd like to buy a 1967 bumper jack for my Delta 88. What other years and GM cars had the same jack?
Thanks,
Jaybird

bumper jack
I have a very nice complete bumper jack set out of a 1970 delta 88, its the kind that fits in a thin slit on either side of the bumper supports. Dont know if it would work for yours or not, I do have photos of the bumper that it goes to and also the jack itself. Please call 231 883 3599. Jim.

The correct name for the model is "Delmont" 88 (no "u"). I love it when ebay sellers don't even get the name of what they're selling correct. Several times I've seen an Olds Ninety-Eight described as a "Delta 98." Ain't never been such an animal. Makes you wonder just how much they really know about what they're selling.

Do some checking because I think the jack post (stand) and the floor pad are mostly the same through out the years, what's different is the "jaw" that fits the bumper on your particular year car: which is removable. In that case I have a 67 jack stand near perfect, rust free out of my 67 442. I am packing a scrissors jack in case, sets in the spare tire area same as the original. The scrissors, and jack handle is from an 80's model Toyota Celcia and the lug nut wrench fits the bolts! 5 dollars!! I have also cut some 4x4's by 6 for wheel blocks and if you need extra height from the jack-use one only. And these type jacks are ALOT EASIER to lift the car up-Momma can do this too. Actually truth is in my opinion; the old style 60's jacks are not really safe at all and they will scratch the bumper surface when you have to use them to change a tire or if you have to crawl under the car is she decides to create a problem, thus ruined your cruise-if you care to know. My 67 bumpers were re-chromed at show quality grade and I don't want to scratch them if I don't have too. BUT I won't hesitate tearing up the engine and trans racing a new C-6, Mustang , Challenger or Camero down the street. Go figure.

BTW, its good to hear that you got a bumper jack from Evil-bay Jaybird. Just make sure you keep another jack in your car incase you ever have to change the tire.

That's very good idea Olds64. The jack will only be for show. I use a little trolly jack with jack stands to support my car. I'd be afraid of denting or bending my bumper, if I used the original jack.
