Could you post a picture of what the left hand piece looks like? I don't have a good reference book to look up the number so I'm guessing this is a trim piece, but I don't know for sure.

So you're looking for the thin stainless piece that runs horizontally from the lock bezel to the taillight?

 

yes on the right (pax side) of the tail gate.
I read your post on the rude dude.. yep I hear ya, I used to work for a guy like that (haven't we all), you gotta feel sorry for them rather than go to their level of being a bad person. it's too bad that mesierable people enjoy attempting to make others lives as bad as theres. My dad use to always say "treat others the way you want to be treated". I guess that's why he was a succesful businessman and died a happy man with lots of friends!
