65 Cutlass lower core support needed

Hey guys I'm looking for the lower core support for a 65 A-body. I'm going to cut the bottom of the core support off my 64 off and graft the 65 in, giving me 3 more inches in length of radiator for the 400E.Thanks.

Hey Robski,
I don't have a 65 core support, but I made this mod on my 64 to get the aluminum radiator lower. It was real easy with only a couple of extension plates welded in. Works well, as none of the other geometry changes. Should be an easy fix for you with all the welding you've done.

I have a nice 67 core support. Never any rust. Not sure if it would fit a 65 or not but you might get the width you want from part of it. $100 if you pick it up in

Core Support

I have a lower core support to sell separately in NM, email me at rgreen@q.com for photo and price.

BIGDADDY-by chance were did get those pre-fabbed vertical extensions? That would be the perfect solution...

almost any sheetmetal shop should be able to make them with your measurements. Check with heating companies around your area. They all use sheet metal fab shops or have one of their own to do that.

What I did on my 64 Cutlass was drill out rivets 4 on each side on both core supports then bolt it on your 64 core support done deal.

Is that a longer-deeper 65 rad or something else? I want to get the biggest rad that will into the space allowed. Thanks.
