'59 394 duel exhaust manifold

Looking for dual exhaust manifolds for '59 394. Or LH (driver side) dual manifold only.

There is no such thing as a dual LH exhaust manifold in a 1959-60 Olds.
The exhaust manifolds are the same whether single or dual exhaust .
Only the pipes were different.
The right side manifold was capped off at the front on dual exhaust jobs.

Here's an illustration of a 59 exhaust system. (Upper view in photo)
A good muffler shop with a pipe bender should be able to make everything you need.

Thank you for the diagram. Looking at my car I could not understand how the LH exhaust pipe could be run from the manifold.

I had to use a magnifying glass to see your PDF … LOL

So it looks like the LH side exhaust pipe Ts off the cross over pipe?

> Where can I find a copy of that PDF?

Right click on the attachment below, OPEN IN NEW WINDOW, then click on the picture itself and it enlarges.

The single exhaust crossover runs into the hole on the front of the passenger side manifold. This hole is capped for duAL exhaust applications and a separate pipe run down the driver's side. Note that there are two configurations of that DS pipe, one for manual and one for automatic.

No , both pipes are shown for illustrative purposes. There is no crossover pipe on dual exhaust systems. The LH pipe goes directly off the manifold.

Got the Dual Exhaust installed. I used Flowmaster 50's vs. the OEN muffler/resonator combo. Ran the pipes out the back vs. the sides.

The Flowmasters are about 1/2" lower that the OEM mufflers were.

Has a nice Grumble, just enough to take notice.

You have a non-backup lamp car. Shouda run those pipes out thru the backup lamp blockoffs, with some big kiss-my-*** chrome tips!

That was my second thought, 1st was Bellflowers. Neither was possible due to leaf springs and some ridiculous turns thje pipes would have had to make.

But, yes it is a cool idea.

I don't think a scavenger flare tip looks right on this car. I'm going with pencil tips.

Yes, I understand. I like the turn down style on the 40's cars or like '50 Merc.

This car's lines are based on a rocket ship, so I think a straight pipe will flow with the lines of car and look like they belong. I never really like how the OEM pipe dumped out toward the side under the quarter panel.

Too bad I could not make the back-up light cut-out idea work.

Also Google IronRat's Super 88

Once the weather breaks I'll put up a video on YouTube so you can here the new Exhaust with the Flowmaster 50s

What trans is he going to use? Is his build stock or modified? Great old engine to work with 315HP from the factory.

Both motor and tranny stock. Funny the way it has a clutch disc with a automatic!!!!The tranny is weird looking!!Actually the motor mount is also weird!!
