'59 394 duel exhaust manifold
There is no such thing as a dual LH exhaust manifold in a 1959-60 Olds.
The exhaust manifolds are the same whether single or dual exhaust .
Only the pipes were different.
The right side manifold was capped off at the front on dual exhaust jobs.

Thank you for the diagram. Looking at my car I could not understand how the LH exhaust pipe could be run from the manifold.
I had to use a magnifying glass to see your PDF … LOL
So it looks like the LH side exhaust pipe Ts off the cross over pipe?

The single exhaust crossover runs into the hole on the front of the passenger side manifold. This hole is capped for duAL exhaust applications and a separate pipe run down the driver's side. Note that there are two configurations of that DS pipe, one for manual and one for automatic.
Got the Dual Exhaust installed. I used Flowmaster 50's vs. the OEN muffler/resonator combo. Ran the pipes out the back vs. the sides.

The Flowmasters are about 1/2" lower that the OEM mufflers were.
Has a nice Grumble, just enough to take notice.

But, yes it is a cool idea.

This car's lines are based on a rocket ship, so I think a straight pipe will flow with the lines of car and look like they belong. I never really like how the OEM pipe dumped out toward the side under the quarter panel.
Too bad I could not make the back-up light cut-out idea work.

Also Google IronRat's Super 88
Once the weather breaks I'll put up a video on YouTube so you can here the new Exhaust with the Flowmaster 50s
What trans is he going to use? Is his build stock or modified? Great old engine to work with 315HP from the factory.
