Oh yes, the Bat Wing. They are cool breathers.
Good luck with the hunt.

In my neighborhood bat wing air cleaner refers to the air cleaner system found mostly on cars of the '50's with multiple carbs, they had the main body attached to the carbs, then two air filter chambers hanging off each side.

The Cadillac air filter looks similar but the air openings are about four or five inches to the rear. Doesn't look as good as the Olds.

I have always heard this one referred to as the Batwing. It was popular with hot rodders and customizers as soon as it came out. I put a dry element in mine. The old oil bath is a pain. I am sure the repops are only take a dry element. I have also heard the air cleaners for multiple carbs referred to as Batwings.

This is a "batwing", it goes on this car, and also a similar one on the Eldorado.

Quite a few folk call the first air cleaner pictured by the OP a bat wing. Doing so does not make it so. Doing so yields a misnomer.

Also, should not be confused with my mother-in-law's arms, which also could possibly be referred to as "batwings".

Make sure that repop batwing(i know I know but they have called them batwings since the fifties) will fit your carburetor throat it looks like they are talking about Edelbrock and Holly carbs and the filter base is smaller on a 4gc carb if that is what you have....Tedd

This whole batwing talk is all new to me, not old enough to know the fifties lingo... I was thinking the 4gc was a smaller throat. Looks like some fabrication work will be in order.

Good point Tedd because the 4gc base is smaller. I saw one of these a few years ago on a 57 Chevy (I think) and it was painted to match the car and then a picture of the car was airbrushed on the top. Pretty cool.
