Talking 455 olds power

Hey guys! I'm looking to upgrade the 350 Rocket my wife has in her 71 Cutlass Convertible to a 455. Any ideas where I can get one that's either been rebuilt or even if it needs a rebuild? I'm looking to get it done before she gets back from overseas. BEFORE being the operative word here ;). Let me know guys I'm all ears. She's back in 2 weeks so I gotta work fast. Thanks!!

OldsManiac, you're not kidding 2 weeks is a short time. Not only do I need luck to pull it off but also couple of golden horseshoes hidden somewhere I won't mention. I have all the parts to rebuild ready to go so that's not an issue as long as I can find one right away. But most definitely better if it's already rebuilt. Will keep posting updates.

As suggested give your location. A quick search just now on NJ craigslist netted at least 4 455 engines for sale.

Perfect thanks Oldsmaniac. I actually recently moved to Canada for my job relocation so I would have to ship it here. Closer to the border the better. I'm in Toronto now. Definitely made things tougher.

THANKS TO ALL!!! You guys have been nothing less than fantastic for all your help. I was able to track one down that was rebuilt a year ago with all the doc's to prove it. Has less than 3000 miles and just across the border from Toronto in New York. Looks like I should have it done with the new exhaust system just in time. Will post before and after pics when it's all done. THANKS GUYS!!!!

Cool! How will you present the surprise? Let her get in it and wonder where all the ballz came from when she hits the pedal?
