1972 Cutlass bolt in axle shafts

I have numerous used axles down here in sunny South Florida, if you're interested. Email me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob.

The only NOS axles I have are the 31-spline for the 8.5" type "O" rear end.

You should be able to source those from any of the major axle manufacturers. Or just check with monzazz.

Yes bolt in shafts. For the price you would have to ask them, not me.

I didn’t think they made 31 spline bolt in axle shafts for the 1971-72 Cutlass’s as a oem item.
Are you sure that the ones you have are a fit for these years?
Thanks

There are no 31 spline shafts for the 1971-1972 corporate 10 bolt rears; those were only for the 1967-1968 heavy duty O-Type.
There are 30 spline axle shafts for the corporate 10 bolt rear, though.

These are for the 8.5" type "O" rear end, as mentioned above; however, they fit up to '69. This is the rear, sometimes mistakenly referred to as an Olds "12-bolt", because it has 12 bolts in the rear end cover, but only ten holding the ring gear on. They will not work with a '71 or newer rear end.
