1966 f85 deluxe

just out of curiosity what shape are they in and how much are you asking for them? The f85 deluxe trim is impossible to find so I was going to eliminate all the side trim, but maybe the 442 trim will look good on it.

Let me dig up what I have 1st. I have some of the side trim as well.
Have you checked with Larry, lemonoldsnut? He has several 66-67 cars
he parts. He may have the F-85 trim your looking for.

Yes he is after the F-85 deluxe trim. I have had over 65 Oldsmobiles but never a 66 F85 deluxe. They are all by themself. I appreciate the heads up. I have probably a full car of 66 Cutlass trim, 67 as well.
I am trying to find pictures so you all can see the difference.
If this works here is F-85 deluxe

This is 66 F-85 Cutlass

Hi Larry, Thanks for the pics. The cutlass trim does have a nice look to it. The car is in the body shop right now and will be black so that trim may look nice on it rather than eliminating the side trim. I definitely have something to think about. What would the cost be on the cutlass trim?

trim
years ago a removed the the deluxe type wheel well moulding from a 66 4 door .
i am sure the front fenders are the same but not sure about the rear. pics would help me dig them out if you want me to look.

I HAD it all. That is the only thing I have sold off of my 66 F85 deluxe. Luna, Wayne, Dan have all seen this car if they remember back a few years. That trim brought the money and its the only complete set I have ever seen. Its still sitting behind my garage, complete other than the chrome and the SS1 wheels that were on it which I sold.....

Lemoldsnut that is not the side trim on the f85 deluxe----that's the CS trim I think.. The F85 delux goes completely around the wheel wells then along the rocker panel. If I remember right the rocker trim was the same as a 65GTO-Lemans but ot sure.

The 442 option was available on all 2 door models in 66 including the F-85 Deluxe. That makes 5 different 442 models. I have both rocker moldings, quarter moldings and @ least 1 W/O molding if you're still looking. Contact me @ pchopesq@aol.com

Actually in 66 there was no Cutlass Supreme 2 door the one I posted the picture of is a 66 Cutlass F85. You could in 66 get a 442 in a Cutlass/F85 trim or F85 trim. In 67 you could only get a 442 on a Cutlass Supreme which was the first year for a Cutlass Supreme 2 door.

No,that's wrong. What did Olds call the F-85 Deluxe hardtop? It was called a F-85 Deluxe Holiday Coupe. That means there were two different hardtop models. The Cutlass Holiday Coupe & the F-85 Deluxe Holiday Coupe. The car you pictured as I noted was a Cutlass Holiday Coupe, not the F-85 Deluxe Holiday Coupe.

"Holiday coupe" for Oldsmobile means 2 door hardtop.
In 66 all F85 cars were and F85,
Even a Cutlass in 66 was called an F85/cutlass
Holiday coupe is the body style not he model of trim or model of car.
I don't have time at the moment but can pull it up for you in a factory service manual.

From page 0-2 of the 1966 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual.
Not trying to bad mouth anyone or talk down to anyone. Just showing what is in the manuals. I worked service in Olds dealerships and the first thing you always had to do was verify the model by the Chassis Service Manual to the cowl tag or vin.
Plus everyone is not perfect or mistake free.
I am just providing information that is available to me.
Hope this helps

I had two pm's with questions about Cutlass level trim that came from this thread so posted a picture of the one I have that I am parting out. Never said it was F85 trim. Maybe that was not clear.
If you look at the manual they are all called F85 That was the point. Kind of weird that Olds did that.

The 1966's had a lot of different moldings. I have a 1966 F-85 Deluxe with a 442 option.
These cars had wheel well moldings(Stainless Steel) that went all the way around and then an Aluminum rocker molding(about 4 inches wide) between the wheel wells, then a molding from the bottom of the back wheel well to the back bumper. The wheel well moldings have flat spots on the very bottoms for the Aluminum moldings. 4 moldings all together on each side.
The F-85 Deluxe was a Hardtop Coupe but it shared the same interior as the Cutlass Club Coupe. You could not get the bucket seats in the F-85 Deluxe.
What parts are you still looking for? The Aluminum pieces are the toughest to find because the gravel put holes into them very easily.
