Are these photos the air cleaner that you are looking for, or is it the one you have now?

It's posted in the Parts Wanted section. I'll guess that he's looking for an air cleaner like the one in the above pictures. I could be wrong. I was told that I was wrong once!

He did state, "looking for the fremont built 4 barrel air cleaner."

I bet, that part, might be hard to find.

Yes I am looking for one like the one pictured. I have another fremont built car that is in need of one.

The 68 Camaro Z-28 had an air cleaner base that is nearly identical to the one you are showing. They are available aftermarket. There are a lot more aftermarket parts available for Chevys than Olds. Alot of the parts fit multiple GM lines. I bought 67 Camaro shoulder belts for my 67 442 and they are a perfect fit and match.

Yeah, i have a repop that looks just like that... I think it was a 69 Chevelle L78 repop air cleaner assembly. It was about $100 for the lid & base a couple years back.

Apparently that base wasn't an Olds design (originally - though Olds obviously used it). It was clearly stamped with a Holley 4bbl carb in mind. Notice the upward bulges to clear the float adjuster screws on the Holley center-hung float bowls. Holley carb in a OE GM application would suggest Chevrolet as the source of that part. Based on that, I'd guess be may be exactly the same part as the Chevy one, though the vent tube may be specific to the Olds application. Just a hunch based on the evidence.
