1965 442 wheel for swap

I have one R code 14 x 6 JK dated Jan 65 (1 65) and will swap ONLY for 14 X 6 "A" code KelseyHayes wheels. If you have "A" code wheels and want to sell, I will buy outright. Please Private Message me if you anything.

I think you are mistaken , the "A" wheel is 14/5 not 14/6 . the 5 sometimes can look like a 6. Compare the R with the A and you will see. The measurement is inside from bead to bead not outside edge to edge.

I have two A code wheels that I will trade for the R code.

Actually you are 1/2 right. Kelsey did make a 14 x 5 for the 64 Chevelle and stamped it A. They also made a 14 x 6 stamped A for another GM product. Sorry. I will only trade for the 14 x 6.

Thanks again.

Thats correct, the 14x6 with an A code was for the 64 GTO and also used during the first part of 65 for a GTO. Code changed in early 65 for the GTO; but exactly the same rim, if were are talking about Kelsey Hayes as a manufacture. Motor Wheel is somewhat different than the KH rim.

Don't know for sure if A coded rim was used on an olds or buck during that period. The R coded rim that was used on the olds 442 in 65-67 is exactly the same as the A coded rim produced in 64 and early 65.
