I cant seem to find alternator brackets for 394..anybody have any idea of what can work?

 

That you cannot find them could be because the 1960 Oldsmobile did not have an alternator. Generators were used by Olds until 1963 model year, I believe.

 

Yes that is what i have on it but i would like to convert it to an alternator. Due to the new load that i will be putting it under

 

The alternator can be mounted on the bottom by the generator bracket
You will need to shim it up with washers and a length of small pipe .
Make sure the pulley aligns correctly .
The upper bracket may need to be modified .

 

u can use a 63 64 394 setup-which i have if interested

 

X2 on the 63-64 394 engine set up. I would not be at all surprised if this bracketry is able to be found on eBay.
