1970 w30 f series heads
1970 w30 f series heads
Heads only have 32,000 mi. of use and have been in storage since the seventies. One head has a broken valve guide and I am somehow missing 2 valves. Includes original valve springs, trunions, remaining valves, pushrods and bolts. The engine never overheated and like I mentioned earlier very low mileage but if you want them magnafluxed I would be willing to have that done $4000. or Best offer

Do you have the valve covers? I don't need the heads. Unsure if I even need the covers or not as they might be sitting around the garage in PA somewhere. Problem is I'm in NC. Is there any difference between the W30 valve covers and the regular 455 covers?
Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread but I know some people don't always check PM.

The holes are round it is just right at the tip of the guide they have that little relief. I will take more pictures that show that. A valve guide replacement is here locally $32 for only one if all of them it would be 13.50 ea. I'm sure you would do a valve job on the heads anyway at which point they would get them ready to go.
OK I just talked to Oldsmobile Specialist Bill at BTR Performance and emailed him a couple of the valve guide photos This was his response. "I would say it was probably a state of the art trick in 1970 that someone did. The guides need to be machined out anyway so it doesn't matter".
