Can you explain the difference between this switch & the non tilt switch?

The plugs are all the same but they are made almost completely reversed. My finger points to the Tilt switch.

On some G.M. columns when you turn the key towards start, the rod on top of the column moves down, on some it moves up. You can swap that switch around 180 degrees in that bracket to accommodate either movement. So I "think" your tilt switch will work on any column? Not 100% on this though. Not trying to kill your deal, just trying to make things clear in my own head.
