68/69 peak moulding clips

These are the plastic clips which mount on the studs on the doors and under the qtr glass on 68/69 S/442/Hurst cars. The stainless peak trim then attaches to them. They also work on the studs for vinyl top trim of 68/69 cars.

68/69 cars use 5 per door and 3 per qtr. 16 total per car. $10 plus shipping.

Thanks,
Chris

Here is a pic of an original clip next to the new ones. I tested these on one of my 69s and they work fine.

I'm not sure that convertible rear chrome piece attaches with these. I'll try and find pics of the convert parts car I cut up. If it's the clips like the front fender stainless, I have those in a different ad. If you can get me a pic of the convert qtr without the chrome that would help too.

Bruce, the convert rear stainless uses the other clips, identical to what holds the front fender peak stainless trim

I am interested in the other clips, where do you have them? I have a convertible and it does have holes in the rear 1/4s.

ah those. Steve, they are here. I can't recall how many are needed per side for a convertible however.

the middle rear convertible 1/4 panel clips are completely different than the ones used on the doors. There aren’t any studs on the 1/4 panels. The front and rear clips on the convertible 1/4 panel are the same as the front fender (except the rear one uses a special acorn type nut) . Also the doors use a special spring type clip for the first one and last one that’s threaded and takes a very short screw.

Does the convertible quart panel peak molding have a cut out on front to slide back and out. Passenger side does not have cutout but driver side there is. Is that correct?

The left and right sides are are the same. The first and last clip on the quarter panels have a stud spring clip with a nut. The middle ones have slotted holes with a completely different fastener that snaps into the slotted holes. The last studded fastener in the trunk has an acorn type nut on it.
