A toy that needs to go
Unfortunately i cannot afford my 1972 f-85 anymore. Good news for you is that it is for sale and im ready to get rid of it. Comes with a strong running 350 v8 engine and a fully working th350 trans. No A/C but there is heat. I took it apart to put new performance parts on it. I can no longer afford these parts and the stuff that i wanted to put on to it due to the economy so here it is. It is garage kept and in very nice condition im looking to get anywhere between 6-8000 dollars for it so if anyone is interested give me a call or shoot me an email at MajorPain212@yahoo.com
According to Setting the Pace, there was an F-85 in 1972, and production was very small at 3,792.
However, this car can't be an F-85 as the only model made that year was a four-door ("Town Sedan"). My guess is that he's just using the phrase "F-85" generically.

Didn't we just have this same discussion last month?

By the way, the F-85 nameplate was resurrected in the mid-1970s as the bottom trim level of the Omega line.
