Rare 371 Big Block
Guess they only made these for 3 years i read... I have 2 sitting in my garage now... Both are complete from oil pan to carb...
$400, dont really want to ship unless buyer arranges pickup.
Both are from a 1960 88, equiped with 2 barrel so i am guessing they are the 240hp, 375tq.

If 1960 these will be the later high deck 371 with 3" mains, 2.5" rod journals, 7" long rods. the earlier 371 had 2.75" mains, 2.25" rods, 6-5/8" long rod. Pistons are different too. Overall bore and stroke are the same.

I've always called this vintage of Old's engines the first generation of Old's V8 motors, gets confusing trying to figure out if a 371 is a big block or small block or what makes a 394 a large block when if fact it's mostly a 371 in disguise with just a higher deck height.... Tedd
