UPDATE 28MAY
I do still have the nicest one of these that I have ever seen
Shot peened with glass media
Clean ready to plate , coat or paint

I am saving that until I use it or someone offers me too much $$ Money

With a look on the internet vendors show fits these years
1964 to 1972
1972 to 1977
and
1964 to 1977
I would think from 1964 to 1977 Oldsmobile V8 engines. I am not exactly sure which years this was installed by the factory. The starter housing either has to have a stud coming out of it Or a drilled and tapped hole to put a bolt into it. One must use a very short bolt.

This shield also has a hole for the clutch return spring on manual transmission cars

Pics are of the actual part you will get
I ran it through vacu blast machine and it has been peened with glass media
it is clean

The advertised bracket was installed by the assembly plants starting in model year 1970. The one used for model years 1968 and 1969 was more of a strap and less of a heat shield. However, the advertised bracket will also fit '68 and '69 model years and provide much more of a heat shield than what the original strap design did.
