NOS 455 motor mounts

This is likely the wrong place to list these. Before anyone freaks out about the price.... A set sold not long ago on ebay for $430 and I just sold a set for $425. This is my last set and are $425 shipped. These are the ONLY 455 motor mounts that are going to fit correct on 69-72 big block frame pads. You can get the others to work with a little work but these originals fit perfect.

Well, they will either fit 1968 or 1969-1972. They won't fit both as the 1968 cars (and the 1965-67 cars before them) used the same frame and motor mounts for both BBO and SBO. ONLY the 1969-72 cars used different mounts for BBO and SBO

I have to disagree and i am not out to kill a sale because anything i need i get nos at all possible, but the older anchor brand mounts that are USA made fit just right on the pad snug, and the height is correct no changes had to be made to the fuel line and the foam air cleaner element contacts the hood where it is suppose to
now if nos mounts were available to me i would have bought them

Just for educational purposes, Eric, it would be great if you could take a few pictures of these mounts lined up next to some of the "more common" mounts, which look exactly the same to my eye, and post them in Joe's Motor Mounts thread so that after your set is long gone, folks in the future can tell what they're looking for if they're in search of these.

They look the same even side by side. I will get my all thread out and hang them all from it. With them all lined up like that the holes are close to 1/4 inch off on the block side. I think the overall problem is on both sides but it is most noticeable when you line up the frame side all equal.

Yeah, if you could illustrate that, it might point to a landmark or a way that people could use to tell the difference, because they really do look the same to the untrained eye.

They are but on this set you almost can't see them. I tried to get a picture but it will not show up. The last set I sold they were real clear. You have to be in the light just right to see it on these.

If you shine a flashlight at the numbers from the side and take the image outside using the macro feature on the camera w no flash you can usually get raised or depressed areas like these to show up in pics

I've had a issue w using aftermarket mounts during a swap between a 350 to a 455. Can't afford these OEMs but I wonder if there's a preferred knock off brand.

Here are a couple crude pictures to compare aftermarket/repop to NOS. All repop or aftermarket i have found are the same.

Here is another picture that shows the aftermarket measurement on the NOS mount.

So the thickness of the rubber portion is different, but the metal ends are the same (at least externally)?
Good to know.

Did you try measuring the rubber at any specific point(s)?

Great shots, and thank you. Most of us will never see one of these original mounts in good condition.

Just to look at them they look the same. When you examine them close there is little that is the same. The metal and rubber are both much differant than the originals.

Bumping this thread. I had two people wanting these but deleted the PMs and can't remember who they were. If you are still interested I can let them go now. $425 shipped in the USA.
