Motor Wheel "Exeter" wheels

Set of 4 14 x 7 Polycast wheels. 4 3/4 bolt circle. Very unique. Manufactured by the Motor Wheel company circa 1970. All caps included. They'll need some fresh paint.

I had these on my '69 Judge for a time.

I can dismount the tires for shipping.

$250.00

PayPal OK.

I'm in San Jose, CA. 408-998-2665

I picked up a set of those NOS at Fall Carlisle 05. Mustang vendor had them and as they were GM bolt pattern he had no real use for them. He had ten, and I bought four for $10 each. Had I been on the wagon instead of that stupid cramped no-space Bravada, I'd have bought all ten.

They had no centers, but I found that an early 80s FWD Super Stock II centercap fits the Exiters' towers like they were made for them. Also discovered that reproduction SSI Rocket centercap decals fit in the 80s FWD cap perfectly, if anyone here grabs these and wants to "Oldsmobile-ize" them. My set is on the 1974 Hurst- "Hurst Experimental Wheels" to those who know nothing about the car or the Exiter.

And as you see, they closely resemble the Super Stock IV Polycast wheel, which incidentally was also made by Motor Wheel for Olds, but never came in the 4-3/4" A-body bolt circle.

I believe the SS IV was 15 x 7 with the 5x5" bolt pattern. Weren't they? Those wheels look like they are in decent condition. Good luck selling them.

Are the Motor Wheel Exciter rims still available?

Thanks,

Anthony, this thread is quite old. I don't know if Shemp would still have them available. It is worth giving him a call though. Check out this recent thread about SSIV wheels. I believe another member has a set that he is looking to sell:

Anthony mentioned in the other thread his brother had a set of Exiters and they'd been looking for another set. Call Shemp- worst case is he's sold them, and all you're out of is a phone call.

Shemp, Did you sell these? I hadn't seen them in 14". I would be interested if you do. I have a set of 15x7 5x4.75. Here's mine:
