I think the tube is actually for 1970.

My wanderings have lead me to understand that 1972 has the cotter pin going straight across.

Is #1 for a small block and #2, & #3 for the big block? When looking at them all, the 2 & 3 look taller, as if for the bb. But I'm not sure of difference between 70 & 71/72.
