Convertible Top Windshield Frame Vinyl Strips---Black Vinyl
If are redoing your interior or convertible top and you want to replace the strip of vinyl that runs along the top of the windshield frame, I can provide a strip of the CORRECT BLACK MADRID GRAIN VINYL for that spot.
>The strips will be generously cut so they cover the WHOLE CURVATURE, SIDE -TO-SIDE, OF THE WINDSHIELD FRAME TOP AREA IN A RELAXED STATE (ie - without any need for trying to pull and "curve" the piece as it runs across the top of the windshield which can result in wrinkles).
> Plenty of extra material for trimming and gluing it down in the windshield channel and behind the channel. No skimpy, "no room for error" or "let's save a couple pennies by sending the smallest piece we can" pieces here.
>I'm offering this for those that may not have any extra vinyl material or any pieces long enough for this application.
ALSO---if you are thinking of ordering one of my Gas Tank Pads you can save on shipping since this will fit in the same container.
$10 each + shipping.
Send me a PM with your shipping info for payment options
Thanks

Hello ... working on 72 Cutlass Convt ... car back from paint after years of being apart .. I am looking for something to cover the top of the windshield frame ... do you still have the material to sell? In black?
Also do you have any pics of the job completed? It looks like there is one piece that gets glued on closest to windshield and about 1/2 way back up over the top of the windshield frame .. then another piece that has some phillips head screws ??

Jim - I don't have any pics of the installed strip but someone here posted some pics on another thread where the question came up re: coverage of the vinyl strip at each end of the top-of-the-windshield frame. I'll try to find the thread and post a link here.
This vinyl strip covers the metal from the forward point (down in the windshield channel), wraps around the top of the frame and then down some vertically so the strip is UNDER the two textured metal pieces that attach w/chrome screws. The "textured metal" pieces, for ID purposes, have a large hole in the outer end of each piece where the sunvisor pivots come through.
PM me w/your complete address and I can provide a total cost.
Thanks
