75 delta 88 royale PARTS CAR

Why can't you get the state DMV to issue you a duplicate title? If it was free and clear in your name and you have an ownership history, there is no good reason they can't supply one other than a lot of DMV staff is too damn lazy to go to the trouble and effort.
Believe me they CAN do it, it's just if they WILL do it.

Well its my sister in law who has the title. She sold us the car a year ago, and we still don't have the title. I'm just tired of playing her games, thats the reason I am parting it out. It's just too much stress.

I find this especially upsetting because it sounds like your car is beautiful due to the fact that it has been in a showroom and has low mileage. It would be a crime to sell it off in pieces because of a family dispute. Technically, you could be accused of breaking the law by selling parts off of a car that's not yours.
Get this straightened out, and save that car!
P.S. I see that you've chosen "peacewithlennon" as your username. How about changing it to "peacewithmysisterinlaw?"

Jaunty has a point. You part it out without a clear title and she comes back wanting the car, then you're in trouble. What exactly is her hold-up delivering the title to you?
Tell her to get her act together and deliver the title, or she can give you your money back. If she doesn't, let an attorney handle it, esp if a large chunk of cash changed hands.
Just one more reason to not do business with family members or close friends.

Or, you could sell it for a token sum to me in Maine, where I should be able to title it with no problem, and I can then sell it back to you for the same amount. I'd only charge you one season of use up here before returning it to you wherever you are . (Or, you could come up to get it and stay in our picturesque bed and breakfast inn for free...).
Only half joking...

It would be less of a hassle to get it retitled.
Have you ever parted a car before? Believe me - that is a lot of work. Read emails, send emails, get pics, send pics, wait for responses, repeat a few times for the same part as person A did not want them, answer more ?'s, pull parts that may or may not come off easily. Find or make boxes and packing, drop parts on foot, collect money, wait for money, beg for money, take parts to shipper, deal with shipper who destoys parts..............
That car sounds like it should be easily retitled, as it most likely was not originally salvage, etc.
MD - do you really have a B&B in Maine?

I have a 75 delta 88 royale, The car was in a showroom for years, and there are not many miles on it. Due to issues with losing the title I am unable to do anything with it, so I am looking to sell it off as a parts car. I am willing to sell the car as a whole, or part it out. Everything is origional, I just figure someone may as well get some use out of it.
If anyone is intrested message me here, or e-mail me at peacewithlennon@yahoo.com
I am taking offers on everything.

Cars like that are few and far between, do all of us (and the car) a favor and handle this right.
Tell us more about the car....is it a convertible? coupe? sedan? colors? options? etc. You really do not want to part out an original low mileage car like that, especially if you don't technically own it. Even if you don't want to keep the car anymore, do the research on getting a new title from the DMV and then sell the car properly. Please post some pics of the car as well.

Okay, here's another idea:
Just commission me to part the car out for you.
I'll give you a lump sum reflective of the value of the parts, minus the value of the effort and annoyance of removing and shipping them, and the time it would take.
Then, I'll take the car and part it out. To myself. All in one piece .

Are we smellin' a troll?
I could use a parts car for my own '73, though... as long as it costs less than I paid for my non-parts car .

What I was trying to yell you was that it sat in a show room for many years, thats why there is such low milage on it. I didnt say the car was perfect. I'm selling it as parts, I never said this car dosnt need any work at all. I was saying that as far as parts go, it was hardly used. Don't be so rude.

Yes I am, please contact me through my email peacewithlennon@yahoo.com and i will send photos of whatever you want.

He made a very small offer on the car, and when I told him I would not sell it for so little because I have more money into the car he posted this. It is not a stolen car. Why would I steal a car that needs work done to it? Grow up and stop being childish! BADD ANDY you are the one who needs to stop trying to scam people.

I'd give him $300 (well, I might - haven't seen the car...).
I would agree that buying parts off of a car that is explicitly described as being "without papers," from a person not well known to you could bring up ethical questions.
I am NOT saying that Mr. Lennon is trying to strip a stolen car, but the fact is that this thought could reasonably cross someone's mind, and it would be reasonable to offer reassurance to potential buyers who might naturally have this thought cross their minds.
Also, if you're trying to sell parts, photos of the car would be helpful, along with a few of the VIN and Fisher Body plates.

you just registerred on this board to try to sell a car you have no proof of owning.
then you edit your listing because your pictures proved you were a bare faced liar.
you won't give your phone number, because the phone doesnt work.
and i am a scam?
lmao good luck with that

"New member" + "No Title" car + "Parting out" + "No photos" + "No listed location" = ?
I will phrase it more forcefully - it is incumbent upon the seller to make a full disclosure of relevant information, such as VIN, in order to reassure his potential buyers.

Hey guys,
I got an email from the seller with some pictures. The car looks to be pertty rough and it's sitting in somebody's yard partially under a tarp. The top is shot and it's missing a handful of things like the a/c compressor, fan shroud, etc. It's a 350, not 455 and the pics do not show much of the car. Sorry I deleted the pics but if anybody else has them, please post for the rest of us.
