'71 442 Distributor - Restored
'71 442 Distributor - Nice and restored:
>1112033 stamping and 1D13 date code
> Completely dis-assembled and cleaned/degreased THOROUGHLY (there are some areas in these distributors that hold old hardened up grease and you have to know where to clean to get all the old stuff out).
>Shaft is nice...not wobbly, etc. Bushings are in great condition with no oblong wear that can occur on highly worn units
>Steel parts cleaned, aluminum body beadblasted and lightly polished to give a more natural/original finish
>Inside body of distributor below points plate is grey catalyzed gloss epoxy to seal off the bare aluminum surface
>New felt shaft washer and plastic retainer cap (under points plate), grease wells packed with high quality high temp grease....grease wells THOROUGHLY cleaned (along with the rest of the dist) prior to regreasing.
>Points wire is new with good copper terminal ends.
>New O ring (where dist goes into the block).
>Cam drive gear in great condition - I will install the correct pin in the gear once sold or leave it uninstalled if you prefer.
>New vacuum advance can/unit
>New rotor - NAPA Echlin high quality with brass tab and extended tip
>NEW high quality NAPA/Echlin cap with BRASS contacts available at $20 extra cost
>Will install points cam oiler/wick setup (not in pics)
