70-72 Hardtop Trunk Lids...Rust Free!
I have 2 trunk lids available. Both are rust free and in great condition.
First one is a late 70 trunk lid. (type 2) It is not the original paint but it is rust free. If someone is interested I can strip the paint on the bottom edge and get pictures so you can see there is no work done to it. From researching my parts cars, this style came out around late May or early June of 1970 $400
The second one is a 71-72 style. (type 3) It is original paint rust free. $300
I prefer pick up but will ship if need be.

Hi Eric -
I could be definitely be interested in the '70 lid if it's the same as my original. I'll take a few pics of the underside of my lid for comparison and will send that to you shortly. Thanks.

Just let me know. I have a friend driving through your neck of the woods down I-70 soon. Maybe it could work out for him to haul it???

Here's the original lid that I'd like to replace with one exactly like it. My car was built during the fifth week of April. Fingers crossed that yours is the same... Thanks.

You have the first style and mine is the second style. I strongley "believe" the second style was not out till late May/early June on Michigan cars. The second style is the hardest to find but the first style is the highest priced. I just paid $600 for a VERY nice used one. I will have to look it up but there is a member here that has the reasonable first style that don't need much work. I will see if i can find his name again (I am terrible with names). I met him at the nationals and looked at the lid.

My car has the Style 1 trunk lid and I am debating if I should try to save it. The previous owner drilled in an aftermarket spoiler, which I don't mind but the inside fold - not the lip but the same section as where the lock come out has three small rust holes about the size of a dime each - the rest of it is really solid. Is it work saving or just going with a repo or used one? How is the quality of the repops?
